You have hopefully understood that God loves you by this point. You’ve likely heard the song “Jesus Loves Me” throughout your childhood. But now, after all these years, do you believe the lyrics of that song? Do you truly believe that God loves you?

John wrote, “And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us” (v. 16). Be convinced of His love for you. If you’ve ever had a doubt, maybe because of sin or circumstances, be reminded of these verses – “God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his one and only Son into the world so that we might live through him. Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins” (vv. 9–10).
