Think about a tornado. A tornado, swirling at 100 miles per hour, can take something that appears sturdy and demolish it, devastating those who witness its effects. Trees – blown over. Houses – destroyed as if they never existed. Jesus doesn’t tell us that hardships, debates and trials won’t occur in our lives. When faced with challenging circumstances and decisions, we don’t have to run in fear of being blown away. When we know the truth, we can confidently take on any situation. No longer will we be driven and tossed by our outside circumstances, but we can take shelter in the One who offers us a firm foundation – God!
