Even though people and things around us will fail repeatedly, we know who won’t fail us! Jesus! When we place our faith in Jesus, we can experience true peace, joy and strength. Jesus gives us a great example of what happens when our foundation is secure … and when it is not secure (Matthew 7:24–27).

He taught that those who hear His words and put them into practice are like the wise man who built his house on a rock. Even though there will be storms in life – “The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, …” – when we place our faith in Christ, He provides an eternal foundation that no circumstance can uproot – “… yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” 

We can receive joy in chaos, peace that makes no sense, and divine strength from the Lord. Yet, when we don’t make Christ our rock, our foundation will fail. There are blessings and fruit that come from trusting in Christ and walking in obedience. Christ will never let us down; He will be faithful, and He will never fail.
