After reading today’s verses, do you feel guilty because you have done some of things on that list of sins? Further, did you catch that it says the people who do those things will not go to heaven? If you have already given your life to Jesus, how do you make sense of it? These verses speak of people who practice these things consistently and do not repent of them. Those are the people this passage refers to who will not go to heaven. You may also be reminded of some of the sins you used to commit and feel shame, but the verse says that “you used to be like this,” and by Jesus Christ, your sins have been washed away! How encouraging is that?
