Cornelius and his household needed to hear the Good News of salvation to be saved. God prepared Peter and Cornelius and orchestrated their encounter. God is doing the same thing in your life, too—bringing people along your path and equipping you to share Jesus with them.

There is no other way to be saved except through hearing the Gospel. We cannot demonstrate God’s love or do enough good works, as important as that might be, for someone to be saved. God uses our works to beautify our message, but they are no substitute for the Gospel itself. God prepares people’s hearts, but we still must verbalize the Gospel.
