Living the Christian life is not always easy. Supernatural forces battle against us. The world often stands in opposition to biblical standards and to those who try to live by those standards. Some believers around the world face what the audience of the book of Hebrews faced: persecution and trials. Just as Jesus faced hostility, His followers do as well.

As followers of Jesus, we are part of God’s unshakable kingdom. Endurance under trial sometimes becomes a challenge, but the Lord uses suffering and trials to discipline us and teach us. He does this because He loves us as His children, and He wants us to reflect His holiness in our own lives. We should run the race together with other believers, encouraging each other to keep living for Jesus.
