Paul had shared the Gospel with Philemon and others who then began to meet as a church at Philemon’s house. Paul was no longer with them, but they had continued to live for Christ. As Paul opened the letter to them, he said, “I hear of your love for all the saints and the faith that you have in the Lord Jesus” (v. 5). Could those who have invested into your life say the same thing?

Can you can think of anyone who personally invested into your spiritual life? My hope is that if they heard of your life today, they would be able to thank God that you love other believers and have faith in Jesus. Don’t waste the investment others have made in you. Rather, imitate their faith by loving others and following Jesus. Love is displayed in your actions; faith is displayed through your works. Live in a way that shows you belong to Jesus.
