What does the law say?

From Genesis 1, God makes it clear that He is a God of structure and order. In Exodus God gives the Ten Commandments to His people and by Leviticus, He has offered a whole code by which God’s people are to live in relationship with one another and with God. 

In the book of Romans, Paul addresses new Christians who are learning to live out their faith in a culture that doesn’t support their beliefs. Paul makes it very clear that followers of Christ are to treat every authority as one perfectly selected by God Himself. 

Rules regarding alcohol, driving,or curfew are given to us by authorities so that we – and others – would remain safe. God Himself has given these leaders power so that order could be maintained and the Gospel could be spread.
