Week 5 Devo – MONDAY
In this passage from Paul’s epistle, we observe an important understanding of Christ’s present ministry. Christ is our mediator, which means that instead of seeing our sin and filthiness, God sees the glory of Christ and the purity of His blood sacrifice when He looks at us.
We have assurance that we can come confidently before the throne of God every time we have a need. More than a perfect defense attorney, Christ takes the place of each of His children before God. This happens constantly in heaven and on earth. On earth we become more like Christ as the sanctification process continues to progress and our souls conform to His perfect image.
Why is it important that God see Jesus in our place?
Do you ever find yourself ashamed to talk to God because of recent sin in your life?
