Peter was awaiting what was sure to be an unfair trial and unjust execution. Like James, Peter was targeted by the Jewish authorities and Roman government. His fate seemed inevitable; humanly speaking, no other outcome seemed possible. But with God, all things are possible.

God is able to open doors that no one can shut and shut doors that no one can open (Rev. 3:7-8). He delivered Joseph, divided the Red Sea, and brought the walls of Jericho to the ground. We don’t believe in an age of miracles, but in a God of miracles. The same God who has done all this and more is the God who has revealed himself in Jesus. Are you trusting Him today with whatever obstacle, sin, or issue seems impossible to overcome?
