Have you ever experienced a Christmas where you are actually more excited to give a gift than receive a gift? Giving a special gift is arguably immensely more fun than receiving! This is because it is a joy to express our love for someone through generosity. To conclude our study on the theology of adoption this week, let’s consider the responsibility we have in sharing with the world the joy we have received through adoption in Jesus Christ. The truth is, God uses His people to provide this joy to those in need; this includes children who are alone. Although we have needs ourselves, Ephesians 1:3 says that we have received “every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places” and therefore have something to give!
