Week 16 Devo – TUESDAY
Luke tells us that Paul “reasoned with them from the Scriptures” (Acts 17:2). In both Thessalonica and in Berea, Paul’s message was the word of God. Paul said in Romans that faith comes through hearing the word of God (Rom. 10:17). So, as we have opportunities to talk to others, whose words are we saying? The world needs to hear the voice of God.
The Scriptures are useful for teaching, correcting and training (2 Tim. 3:16). The Word of God is the sharpest sword and is able to pierce the hardest heart (Heb. 4:12). It is not a matter of power or effectiveness, but a matter of willingness. Are we willing to speak the word of God? If we are, then, like Paul, we will face opposition, but we will also see God work among us.
Who can you share God’s word within your life?
