It is common for us to base our conclusions on what we know by what we see. We need physical evidence to conclude, but sin has caused humanity to deny the evidence of God’s creation as proof of His existence. All believers must be equipped to defend their faith because otherwise, it’s easy for atheists to gain the upper hand since we cannot physically see  God. We see throughout creation the evidence of our Creator. In addition to the creation around us, God calls us to find our faith in Him and His Word.
