God created the heavens and the earth. He holds the world and its fullness in His hands, but somehow, humankind has found a way to value creation over the Creator. Many nonbelievers place their faith in investigating how the world works scientifically. But as believers, we understand that God created everything, even the science behind how the world operates! The Word of God is our source of understanding of how the world was made, and the Spirit allows us to see God’s fingerprints on all matter. Hebrews 4:12 compares the Word of God to a sharp sword that divides the heart and mind, which implies that our mind cannot begin to comprehend God’s hand in creation until we allow His Word to do its job. Once we get a taste of the Lord’s goodness, we can learn to appreciate the science God has put into place.
