When you are sick, you need someone to care for you. When you are discouraged, you need a friend to lift you up. Think about how others have been loyal and helpful to you in a challenging situation. Paul remembered the faithfulness of Onesiphorus when he was lonely and in need. People remember when you are there for them.

I’m sure if you paused enough to look around in all the busyness, you would notice there are people in your life who need a friend to “refresh” (2 Tim. 1:16) them with encouragement and empathy. People can be disloyal (2 Tim. 1:15), but believers should be known for their faithfulness. Be a faithful friend to those around you today.
