If we are supposed to live our lives committed to God and modeling ourselves after Him, then we must know who He is in the first place. This week, we are going to look at five characteristics of God. There are so many more, but we only have five days. To know why we must turn our affections to God, we must know who He is.

Today, we see a passage in the book of Job. Job was a very wealthy man who had everything taken away from him to see if he would turn away from God. He never did. He knew that God loved him and cared for him more than anyone on the earth. Even though Job lost all his earthly possessions, he still had his life with God and his love for God.
