Week 28 Devo – TUESDAY

The Early Church: Living Out the Gospel of Jesus

In schools across America, students are judged based on the way they look. The girls who are pretty and the guys who are good looking tend to be popular, while those who may not have the perfect body type or wear the right clothes are excluded and often feel lonely or isolated. The truth is that we should treat everyone – from most popular to least – the same. After all, Jesus spent a large portion of His time loving the outcasts of society. Therefore, since Jesus became a man and laid down His life for broken people, we should treat all people with love, dignity and respect, regardless of their ethnicity, class or gender. For all people are made in the image of God and are equally and incredibly valuable to Him!

How can Christians do a better job of loving others, no matter their social and economic class or ethnicity?
