Week 31 Devo – TUESDAY

Creation: New Life

The sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross is what makes our heart-change from dead to alive possible. This is made possible by many things; one of which is God’s perfect grace. Our passage today tells us that it is by grace, through faith that we have been saved. Grace is receiving something that we don’t deserve while mercy is not getting something we do deserve. Perfect grace is receiving the gift of new life even though we don’t deserve it. What we deserve is death for our sins.

Think of a time when your parents gave you grace when they didn’t have to. Most likely it revolves around them giving you a gift or a surprise in the midst of disobedience.

What did it feel like when you received the gift? Did you realize that you didn’t deserve it?

How can you extend grace to someone today?
