Many Bible scholars debate on how the new heaven will look and be. What we know is the ancient Greek word translated as “new” here (kaine) means “new in character; fresh.” It doesn’t mean “recent” or “new in time.” This isn’t just the next heaven and the next earth; this is the better heaven and better earth replacing the old. God has a grand plan to completely restore us to Himself for eternity. Luke 21:33 says that the heaven and earth will pass away, but His words will remain forever.

Knowing that His Word will remain forever, how does this change our lives and how much time we spend in His Word?
