God the Father is full of compassion – more compassion than we could ever show to anyone else. God looked at us in our sin, while we were His enemies, completely opposed to His will, desire and goodness, and He showed us grace and mercy. Paul explains that God loved us so much that through sacrificing His Son, He created an opportunity for us to become a child of God. Paul even describes us as crying “Abba! Father!” God’s compassion led Him to create a way for us to be adopted into His family.
