Revelation 4 says that God is “worthy to receive glory and honor and power” (v. 11). Why do you owe God your life? Why is He alone worthy to receive all that you have to give Him? He deserves your life because He created you; you exist by His will (v. 11).

Surely there are more reasons as well – ones that we will discover as we read further into the book of Revelation. But even if no other reasons were given, this would be enough. Live for God for the simple reason that He made you. As the painting belongs to the artist, and the book to the author, so you belong to the One who created you. May you live for Him, now and forever.
