Most people who would not claim to be Christian deny that Jesus is Lord or deny the existence of any higher power. Those who deny any higher power are atheistic, which claims explicitly that God or a higher power cannot possibly exist. We must realize that even lost people know God is real but choose sin and doubt. Our job is to walk firmly in faith and gently redirect those who claim there is no God. Knowing this is true, we must constantly be on guard against doubt because it always knocks on the door. Ephesians 6:16 reminds us that we must use the shield of faith. This piece of the armor of God can’t be properly used unless we read God’s Word and actively seek Him.
