Week 5 Devo – FRIDAY
Today, we will be talking about the complex topic of suicide. While some of us have experienced thoughts or even actions of suicide, we must remember that our lives were divinely, intentionally and intricately planned. We are reminded in God’s Word that pain and suffering are part of everyone’s life. But our pain is not permanent. In our pain, we can find hope. Second Corinthians 4:17 tells us that our pain, while deep and seemingly never-ending, will end. The Lord desires to uphold and strengthen us in our pain and suffering. When we are in our darkest moments and feel as though our life has no worth and that our pain is never going to end, there is hope! We must take heart in God’s promises. God has a plan for us, and our pain will go away. The Lord is with us in our darkest moments. Suicide is devastating for everyone involved, and it is not the path to healing your pain. It is an action that transfers the pain you are experiencing to your loved ones.
