Week 6 Devo – TUESDAY
How were you able to stand firm yesterday? Think of one way you did this.
Esther was the queen and held a position very close to the king. Her people, the Jews, were in a position of being persecuted and even killed. She found herself in a moment where she had to make a decision.
Was she willing to possibly give her life to save her people? Was she willing to stand firm in what she knew to be true to rescue others?
In order to answer that question in her heart, she knew she needed to be surrounded by prayer and fasting. She asked everyone to pray for her and fast for her. Queen Esther knew the answer to these questions was only going to come from her relationship with God. In the end, she stood up and, in the face of death, did what she knew to be right. Imagine the weight of that decision.
What would you have done?
In moments of tension, what is the first thing you do? Go to God or go to emotions/feelings?
