It is unfortunate that many in our culture view Christians more for what we are against than what we are for. This is unfortunate because Jesus promises to “give life and life abundant”! He is the very source of joy, life and hope, and He seeks to provide this for all people who choose Him. This matters because our God is not a God who ignores suffering but seeks to protect and provide for the vulnerable. The innermost need in a child’s life is safety and nourishment, and the act of adoption is to provide that innermost need in the same way God has given us joy, life and hope. When you find yourself in dark place such as this, remember that God provides!
