“God now commands all people everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30). All people. Everywhere. You won’t find any exceptions in those three words. Notice this is not merely a suggestion or even an invitation; it is a command. So how exactly does he command people to repent? God calls people to repentance through His church.

Paul said, “We are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, ‘Be reconciled to God’” (2 Cor. 5:20). The church must never lose sight of its main mission here on earth. Our purpose is to be God’s witnesses to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). Nothing else is more important than that. Do what you can, in each season of life, to make God’s mission your priority.
