Without the reality that we will be raised to life again, our life pursuits become meaningless. The atheistic and agnostic viewpoints fail to recognize a life beyond this one. While they cling to a philosophy that gives them a sense of hope, there is no reason for living this life without the reality of everlasting life. The solid rock upon which the believer builds his life consists of a purpose for living due to the security of the next life. Scripture tells us that eternity is planted within the hearts of men. Even those who deny God understand in their heart that this life cannot be all there is. Only through meditating on God’s Word and spending time with Him can the realities of heaven and hell become so real to us.
