When studying other religions, two things should take place in your heart. First, you should become increasingly confident in your faith, what you believe, and why. Second, your heart ought to shatter for those who do not know Jesus. Either because they follow a different religion or live apart from any religious motivation. Both steps are important because if you don’t have both, you find yourself with a broken heart for the lost without any knowledge to help their condition or with a hard heart because you are right and those following a different religion wrong.
