Have you ever felt completely overwhelmed, as if you were carrying a weight far too heavy for you to lift on your own? In today’s passage, Moses hit a wall. Leading millions of complaining people through the wilderness became too much, and he honestly told God, “I cannot carry all these people by myself.”

God’s response was beautiful: He didn’t scold Moses for being weak; instead, He shared Moses’ burden by placing His Spirit on 70 other leaders to help him carry the load. God is dependable not just to give us a destination, but to actively uphold us and provide the community and strength we need to get there.
