Week 23 Devo – THURSDAY
This passage is a crystal-clear picture of the selflessness that Christ demonstrated for us. To be selfish is to be defined by a focus on your “self.” Basically, being selfish is living in a world where you are at the center. This passage said that Jesus put other’s interests in front of His own.
Paul was urging us to take on Christ’s selfless humility. Humility is a huge part of selflessness. To be humble means that you don’t focus on your achievements or your status, or even what you deserve. Being humble means taking the focus off you.
How have you seen God’s selflessness?
How can you share the selflessness of God with all those you will encounter today?
