The greatest commandment Jesus gave in Scripture is found here. All His commandments are important, but Jesus replied to the question “Which is the greatest commandment in the law?” with our verses today. Sometimes, it can be hard for us to love others, but as we see in these verses – it’s out of our love for God that we can love others. Luke 6:45 says, “The overflow of the heart is what the mouth speaks.” If we are loving God with all our heart, soul and mind, everything else will follow suit: loving your neighbor as yourself. Hang on to these truths today, write them where you can see them daily.

Pay attention to what comes out of your mouth today. That’s a good indication of the status of your relationship with the Lord.
