In yesterday’s reading, we learned that God is the Creator of everything, and there is none like Him. God the Father provides for our every need. Jesus tells us to look at the birds of the air and see how God provides them with food. Won’t God provide for you? Look at the lilies, see how beautiful they are. Won’t God clothe you? Jesus reassures us that our Father in heaven is aware of our every need and is eager to provide for us. We need not be anxious for anything. However, Jesus also tells us that we must seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Because God is the perfect provider, we should be all the more eager to see His kingdom and pursue His righteousness.
