In this passage we witness God’s undeniable power. This chapter revolves around God’s commandment to Jeremiah to purchase land in Judah. However, the land he is to purchase is under siege and will surely be lost. God’s command doesn’t make sense to Jeremiah. Although Jeremiah recounts all the great things God has done and describes His character, he is still confused why God would ask him to purchase this land. God promptly responds, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?” As the perfect Father, God knows what is going to happen and makes everything happen. Who are we to think that God cannot do what He says He will do?
