When you take a look at Christianity, one of the defining differences is that Jesus is 100-percent God. This is a difference because while we as humans cannot conquer death, Jesus as both God and man had the unique ability to conquer death and the ability to extend that victory to all who trust in Him. Here we see Jesus enter into a Jewish place of worship and read a passage of Scripture that declares the Spirit of the Lord has anointed Him to proclaim the Good News and to save those who are oppressed. The unique part in this is that those listening would have been familiar with this passage, but the major difference is that Jesus was applying it to Himself. He is saying that He is God.
