In Ephesians, we see how God has equipped believers to do ministry and build up each other. God gave certain gifts and talents to each believer so that we can carry out the work that He has prepared for us to do. We are His Church, and the purpose of the Church is to reflect Christ to the world, to show His love, and share His Gospel. As members of the Church – called “saints” in this passage – we are also meant to encourage one another and strengthen one another as we use the gifts that God specifically gave to us. We are the body of Christ, and we are meant to work together to fulfill God’s calling on our lives.
