How much does it cost?

$49 (first 200 registrants), $65 (through Jan. 19), $80 (starting Jan. 20)

Is confidential financial assistance available?

Yes, partial scholarships are available for any student and are based on need. All scholarships are confidential. Please contact planostudents@prestonwood.org for more info.

What is a LifeGroup?

LifeGroups are small groups of students led by trusted adults that meet weekly and are designed to build relationships, share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, and communicate God’s Word.

What if a student doesn’t have a LifeGroup?

That’s OK! We will place students in LifeGroups with same-gender students in the same grade.

What will take place during JHigh Rec?

Rec is a time when students and their LifeGroup participate in a high-energy competitive atmosphere. Students will play games, become a part of a team, and have the opportunity to cheer on their team to victory.

What will High School students do during their activity time?

HS students from both campuses will go to predetermined locations for fun activities with their grade. See transportation arrangements below.

Do students need to bring money?

HS students wanting snacks during their Saturday activity will need to bring money. The registration cost covers everything else for the weekend.

If a student invites a friend to Freedom who doesn’t normally attend Prestonwood, will that friend be able to be in the student’s LifeGroup?

Absolutely! We will always guarantee that same-gender, non-Prestonwood friends will be in the same LifeGroup as the students who invited them at Freedom WKND.

What if a student has a food allergy?

Please detail any food allergies on registration form. Most food allergies can be accommodated during Freedom WKND if prior information is given. Please contact the Prestonwood Students Office for more information: 972-820-5360 for Plano/Español Campus or 972-798-6725 for North Campus.

What are the transportation arrangements?

All transportation to/from the church each morning and evening is the responsibility of the students’ parents. Students will be transported on Saturday (HS students to/from off-campus activities, North Campus students to/from Plano Campus) via charter buses.

Are there any overnight activities during Freedom WKND this year?

Overnight activities will not occur during Freedom WKND this year. This is a change from the past.

What if a student has a conflict during the weekend and needs to leave?

Students will communicate with their LifeGroup Leader regarding any conflicts during the weekend.

Will students receive a free T-shirt with registration?

All students will receive a free T-shirt with registration. T-shirts will be distributed by LifeGroup leaders during Freedom WKND. All other merchandise may be purchased through the Prestonwood Bookstore website.

What happens if the event is canceled due to COVID-19?

Reach out to the Prestonwood Students Office for more information!
